This year for the annual St. Patrick’s weekend walk, three long distance hikers from Waterford Scout County took on the Dingle Peninsula in the form of the Dingle Way.
The group celebrated St. Patrick’s day with an array of service awards, a special commendation from the Chief Scout Michael J. Shinnick to the band a multiple Chief Cub Scout awards.
While the majority of the group are busy with St. Patrick’s day planning, the long distance hiking arm of the De La Salle Leadership Team will be tackling a 110km route along the Dingle Way from the sandy beaches of the Dingle Peninsula to the peaks of Mt. Brandon.
